Womble Bond Dickinson partner Nicholas Hawkins will moderate a general session panel on Right of Publicity (ROP) and Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) matters during the upcoming International Trademark Association’s (INTA) 2025 Leadership Meeting, which will be held Nov 18-21 in Hollywood, Florida.  Hawkins is also the current chair of the Sports, Actors, and Celebrities subcommittee of the organization’s Right of Publicity Committee.

In today’s fast paced digital world, the Right of Publicity (ROP) and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights are critical - especially for athletes, influencers, and public figures. The panel, “Beyond the Field: Navigating the Complexities of Right of Publicity (ROP) and Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) Rights in the Digital Age,” will dive into emerging legal challenges, the growing threat of deepfakes, and the latest NIL regulations, offering key insights for IP professionals navigating this evolving landscape. This panel is presented by the 2025 INTA Project Leadership Team, of which Hawkins is a member.

Joining Hawkins on the panel is Lance Pillersdorf Co-Founder & CEO of AdWeek; Relani Belous, Esq, and Bruce Paul, Esq.
